How to Filter Funnel Analytics by Date

The time period control in Funnel analytics decides which visits count toward step metrics, summary tiles, and exports. Align it with your campaign launch window before sharing numbers.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Funnel analytics open for the funnel you want to report on.
  • The launch date or reporting window you care about (ad flight, email send, promo week).
  • Patience for loading to finish after you apply a new range.

See How to read funnel analytics.

Step 1: Open Funnel Analytics

  1. Open AtomicFunnel.
  2. Click Analytics on the target funnel (from the list or editor).
  3. Note the default period — Monthly is typical when you first land on the screen.

Step 2: Choose a Preset Period

In the header time period dropdown, select:

  • Weekly
  • Monthly (default)
  • Yearly

When you pick Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly, the report usually refreshes automatically for that choice.

Review Conversion overview and summary tiles after the load completes.

See Date filters (reference).

Step 3: Use a Custom Range

For a specific launch window:

  1. Select Custom in the period dropdown.
  2. Choose a start date and end date (end cannot be before start).
  3. Click Search to load metrics for that window.

Custom ranges only update after Search — the screen does not assume your dates are final until you apply them.

Step 4: Verify Before Exporting

  1. Wait for loading to finish after Search or a preset change.
  2. Confirm step counts look reasonable for the campaign dates you selected.
  3. Click Export only when on-screen numbers match what you want in the CSV.

See How to export or reset funnel analytics.

Tips

  • Match the range to how you report in ads or CRM (same calendar week, for example).
  • After changing dates, avoid exporting until the table reflects the new filter.
  • Date pickers follow your browser’s local calendar day — confirm timezone conventions when comparing to other tools.

Troubleshooting

Outcome

Funnel analytics reflects the date range you chose — ready for internal review, stakeholder updates, or CSV export.

FAQ

Why did nothing change when I picked Custom?

Pick both dates, then click Search. The screen does not assume a custom range is final until you apply it.

Which timezone is used?

Date pickers follow your browser’s local calendar day. When you compare numbers to another system, confirm both sides use the same timezone convention.

Does Reset change my date filter?

Reset clears custom dates and returns to the default period (Monthly). See How to export or reset funnel analytics.
