Publish a Page

Publishing makes an Atomicat page available at a live URL.

When you publish, Atomicat combines a site or domain with a slug to create the final page address.

For example:

https://yourbrand.com/offer

In this URL:

  • yourbrand.com is the domain or site.
  • offer is the slug.

Before you publish

Make sure:

  • The page is saved.
  • The page has a clear name.
  • The site or domain already exists.
  • DNS and SSL are ready if using a custom domain.
  • Forms are configured correctly.
  • Button links and redirects are correct.
  • SEO title and description are configured.
  • Mobile layout has been reviewed.
  • Tracking pixels or custom scripts are configured if needed.

Publish a page

  1. Open the page in Atomicat.
  2. Select the publish option.
  3. Choose the site or domain.
  4. Enter the slug.
  5. Review any warning messages.
  6. Confirm publishing.
  7. Open the live URL.
  8. Test the visitor journey.

Atomicat may validate the page before publishing. If a form, slug, domain, or required setting has an issue, fix it before trying again.

Choosing the domain

The domain dropdown can include:

  • Atomicat domains
  • Connected custom domains
  • Sites available in your account
  • Producer sites if your account has access

Choose the destination carefully. Publishing to the wrong domain can expose a test page or replace a live campaign path.

Choosing the slug

The slug controls the path after the domain.

GoalRecommended slug
Homepage or main page/ or empty slug when supported
Sales pageoffer or product-name
Webinar pagewebinar
Quiz pagequiz
Thank-you pagethank-you

Avoid slugs that are unclear, too long, or hard to remember.

URL conflict protection

Atomicat checks whether the selected slug is already used on the same site.

If another page is already published at that slug, Atomicat may warn you before replacing it. This helps prevent accidental overwrites.

For example, if another page already uses:

yourbrand.com/offer

Atomicat may ask you to confirm before publishing a different page to the same path.

Publishing and forms

Before publishing, Atomicat can validate form elements.

If the page contains a form, make sure:

  • Required fields are configured.
  • Lead destination settings are correct.
  • Button actions are correct.
  • Webhooks or integrations are configured if needed.
  • The thank-you step or redirect is correct.

After publishing

Open the live URL and test it like a visitor.

Check:

  • Page loads with HTTPS
  • Desktop layout
  • Mobile layout
  • Form submission
  • Button links
  • Quiz flow if applicable
  • Checkout or product section if applicable
  • Pixels and tracking events
  • Thank-you page or next step

Best practices

  • Publish to an Atomicat domain first for testing.
  • Use a custom domain before sending public or paid traffic.
  • Keep slugs short and descriptive.
  • Do not overwrite an active campaign URL unless intentional.
  • Test in a private browser window.
  • Confirm leads appear in Atomicat after submitting a test form.

Frequently asked questions

Can I publish the same page to multiple URLs?

Some workflows support synced publishing paths. Use sync carefully to avoid duplicate or conflicting URLs.

Can I change the slug after publishing?

Yes, but changing a slug changes the live URL. Update ads, emails, links, and redirects if needed.

Why is the domain dropdown disabled?

If the page is already published, Atomicat may lock the domain selection to prevent accidental destination changes.

Why did Atomicat block publishing?

Common reasons include missing domain, invalid slug, conflicting slug, required form settings, or plan/access limitations.
