Sync Pages
Sync Pages is a publishing workflow for using the same page across multiple domain and slug paths.
This can be useful when one campaign page needs to be available in more than one destination.
When synced paths are useful
Use synced paths when:
- You need the same page on multiple domains.
- You manage related campaign URLs.
- You want one page version shared across destinations.
- You support producer or affiliate site workflows.
- You need to keep multiple paths aligned.
How synced publishing works
In the publish flow, Atomicat can let you add additional domain and slug combinations.
Each synced path includes:
- Domain
- Atomicat domain if applicable
- Slug
- Site ID
- Server or setup information when needed
- Producer-site status when applicable
Atomicat checks whether the selected synced paths already exist before publishing.
Conflict checks
Atomicat helps prevent duplicate URL usage.
It checks whether:
- The main publish path already exists.
- A synced path duplicates another selected synced path.
- A synced path already exists on the target site.
- The page is trying to overwrite a path used by another synced page.
If a conflict exists, Atomicat may show an error and stop publishing.
Best practices
- Use synced paths only when you truly need the same page in multiple places.
- Keep a clear record of every domain and slug.
- Avoid syncing test pages to production domains.
- Check each live URL after publishing.
- Be careful when editing synced pages because changes may affect multiple published paths.
Example
You may publish one page to:
| Domain | Slug |
|---|---|
brand.com | offer |
campaign.brand.com | offer |
partner-site.com | brand-offer |
This keeps one page available through multiple campaign destinations.
Frequently asked questions
Is Sync Pages required for normal publishing?
No. Most users publish one page to one domain and slug.
Can synced paths conflict with existing pages?
Yes. Atomicat checks for conflicts and can block publishing when a path is already used.
Should I use synced paths for SEO pages?
Be careful. Publishing the same content to multiple public URLs can create duplicate-content concerns unless you have a clear strategy.
Can I remove synced paths later?
Yes, but make sure you understand which live URLs will be affected before changing synced publishing settings.
