Mini Hook
Mini Hook is a timed image overlay—useful when you want a visual interruption mid‑video (bonus graphic, testimonial snapshot, or urgency badge) without rebuilding the whole timeline.
Conceptually it is close to VTurb “mini hooks”: a short creative beat that re‑captures attention during longer VSL segments.
Where it lives
Configure Mini Hook on the Bunny streaming settings route (platform=bunny when opening the editor from Manage videos). The Cloudflare Stream settings screen does not expose the same Mini Hook block today—if you need the feature, confirm which stack your file uses before planning creative.
Authoring workflow
- Open settings for a Bunny asset.
- In the Mini Hook card, upload or replace the artwork (same image popup pipeline as other video graphics).
- Drag the dual range slider to choose start and end seconds relative to the master duration.
- Remove clears the image and resets the window when you confirm.
- Save editions so the embed stores the hook (clearing removes the hook from the saved configuration).
Creative guidance
- Keep the overlay readable on mobile—half of VSL traffic is often 320px wide.
- Avoid clickbait that contradicts the spoken script; regulators and ad networks both care.
- Coordinate with Magic Autoplay (guide) so viewers are not hit with two competing overlays back‑to‑back.

Frequently asked questions
Does Mini Hook pause the video automatically?
The UI focuses on when the image shows; exact pause / dismiss interactions ship with the hosted player bundle. Always preview on a staging page.
Can I stack multiple hooks?
The editor models one Mini Hook object. For multiple beats, alternate approaches are chapter cuts, page-level sections, or new uploads per beat.
