How to Add Trust Badges to Products

Trust badges are short plain-text statements β€” guarantees, shipping thresholds, or security notes β€” that appear with the full product layout on the Product block.

They are not the same as tier badges (for example Most Popular on a specific pack size). Tier badges live inside quantity tiers.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • A simple or bundle product in the catalog.
  • Show full product enabled (required to edit trust badges).
  • Legally reviewed one-line copy for your brand.

See Trust badges (reference) and How to create a product.

Step 1: Open the Product Editor

  1. Open Products.
  2. Click Edit on the product you want to update.
  3. Under Display settings, enable Show full product if it is off.

The Trust badges section only appears when Show full product is enabled. Selector-only merchandising hides it on purpose.

Step 2: Edit Trust Badge Lines

  1. Expand Trust badges in the editor.
  2. Each row is a single string β€” use concise language shoppers can skim in one line.
  3. Replace default sample strings (for example a 30-day guarantee) with your approved copy.
  4. Remove a row with the inline βœ• control.
  5. Click + Add trust badge to append another empty row.

Keep badges textual β€” put policy URLs in your footer or checkout flow, not inside badge strings.

Step 3: Preview

  1. Toggle Preview in the product editor header.
  2. Confirm badges appear near the product merchandising column when Show full product is true.
  3. Check readability on narrow widths if Preview supports mobile views.

See Product preview.

Step 4: Save and Publish Pages

  1. Click Save Product.
  2. Open any page that uses this product in the Page Builder.
  3. Confirm the Product block still references the correct catalog entry.
  4. Publish the page if trust copy changed on a live campaign.

Trust badges on pages respect catalog data unless you override Show full product per block. See How to add a product to a page.

Best Practices

  • Use three to five short lines maximum β€” avoid paragraph-length badges.
  • Match badge claims to what your checkout and policies actually support.
  • Do not confuse trust badges with tier badges on pack-size rows.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to try
Trust badges section missingEnable Show full product in the product editor.
Badges not on live pageRepublish the page; confirm block uses Show full product override if needed.
Need icon badgesUse text in product settings; place image badges in page design outside product settings.

Outcome

Shoppers see credibility cues next to your product offer on preview and published pages β€” without mixing them up with tier merchandising tags.

FAQ

Can I upload badge icons?

The catalog editor stores text only. Use simple wording, or place true image badges inside your page design outside the product settings.

Do trust badges support links?

Keep them textual. Put legal disclaimers or policy URLs in your footer or checkout flow where compliance teams expect them.

Do bundles support trust badges?

Yes, when Show full product is enabled on the bundle β€” same authoring workflow as simple products.
