Create a simple product

A simple product is the default catalog shape: one merchandising story, optional quantity tiers, and checkout links your Product blocks can reuse everywhere.

Open Add New Product from Manage products.

Editor layout

Across the top you get:

  • Back to the catalog
  • Edit / Preview toggle (see Preview)
  • Cancel β€” Returns without saving
  • Save Product β€” Validates required fields, saves the product, then returns to the list

Display settings

Show full product controls how much merchandising the default data carries:

  • On β€” You can edit description, rating, rating count, main image, gallery, and trust badges (see Trust badges).
  • Off β€” The catalog entry still powers purchase options (tiers, CTAs, subscription toggles), while the page can stay visually minimal until you override display in the builder.

Basic information

  • Product type β€” Leave on Simple for this workflow (switch to Bundle only when following Create a bundle).
  • Product name β€” Required before save.
  • SKU β€” Optional catalog code shown on catalog cards when set.

Fields such as description and rating only appear when Show full product is enabled.

Pricing without tiers

When quantity tiers are disabled, use Base pricing:

  • Price β€” Required numeric amount (USD-style entry in the UI).
  • Compare at price β€” Optional higher anchor price for strike-through merchandising.

Pricing with tiers

When Enable quantity-based pricing tiers is on, base pricing hides and each tier row owns its economics. See Quantity tiers for column-by-column detail.

Subscription options

Simple products support Subscribe & Save as described in Subscriptionsβ€”a master toggle plus benefit lines, with per-tier discount percentages when tiers are enabled.

Call to action

  • Button text β€” For example Add to Cart.
  • Button URL (checkout link) β€” Required path for shoppers when you are not using per-tier URLs (or when Use same link for all tiers is checked).
  • Open in new tab β€” Optional checkbox for the primary CTA behavior.

When tiers are enabled and Use same link for all tiers is unchecked, each tier supplies its own one-time and (if subscriptions are on) subscription checkout URLs.

Trust badges and images

Available when Show full product is on. Add gallery thumbnails, pick a main image from the media popup, and maintain a list of short trust strings (for example shipping or guarantee copy).

Save behavior

Saving checks:

  1. Name is non-empty.
  2. For Bundle type only, at least one bundle line exists (see Create a bundle).

After a successful save, Atomicat returns you to Manage products with a confirmation toast.

Frequently asked questions

Why did Compare at disappear on my tier?

When Subscribe & Save is enabled, compare-at inputs on tiers are hidden so you do not mix anchor pricing with subscription math. Use subscription discount % per tier instead.

Can I edit an existing simple product?

Yes. Choose Edit on a product card, make changes, and save the updated product.
