How to Create a Product

A simple product is the default catalog entry: one merchandising story, optional quantity tiers, and checkout links your Product blocks reuse on any page.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to Products in your Atomicat workspace.
  • A checkout URL from your payment provider (HTTPS).
  • Optional product copy, images, and pricing tiers planned before you open the editor.

See Products overview and Manage products.

Step 1: Open the Product Editor

  1. Log in to Atomicat.
  2. Open Products from the sidebar.
  3. Click Add New Product.

The editor header includes Back, Edit / Preview, Cancel, and Save Product.

See Create a simple product (reference).

Step 2: Set Basic Information

  1. Leave Product type on Simple (use Bundle only for bundle workflows).
  2. Enter a Product name — required before save.
  3. Optionally add an SKU for catalog cards.

Under Display settings, toggle Show full product:

  • On — Edit description, rating, images, gallery, and trust badges.
  • Off — Minimal catalog data; the page can stay selector-focused until you override in the builder.

Step 3: Configure Pricing

Without quantity tiers:

  1. Keep Enable quantity-based pricing tiers off.
  2. Set Price (required).
  3. Optionally set Compare at price for strike-through merchandising.

With quantity tiers:

  1. Enable quantity-based pricing tiers.
  2. Configure each tier’s quantity, label, unit price, and optional badge or image.

See How to use quantity tiers and Subscribe and Save.

Step 4: Set Call to Action

  1. Enter Button text (for example Add to Cart).
  2. Paste the Button URL (checkout link) — required when not using per-tier URLs.
  3. Optionally enable Open in new tab.

When tiers use separate checkout links, uncheck Use same link for all tiers and fill URLs per tier.

Step 5: Save and Verify

  1. Click Save Product.
  2. Confirm validation passes — name must be non-empty.
  3. Return to the catalog list and locate your new product card.

Use Preview in the editor before attaching the product to a live page. See Product preview.

Outcome

Your simple product lives in the catalog — ready to add to pages with How to add a product to a page.

FAQ

Why did Compare at disappear on my tier?

When Subscribe & Save is enabled, compare-at inputs on tiers are hidden so you do not mix anchor pricing with subscription math. Use subscription discount % per tier instead.

Can I edit an existing simple product?

Yes. Choose Edit on a product card, make changes, and save the updated product.

Do I need Show full product enabled?

Not always. Turn it on when you want description, images, and trust badges in the default Product block layout.
