Funnel step metrics
Under Conversion overview in Funnel analytics, each step is one page in your funnel, shown in order from first to last.
Numbers shown per step
| Metric | How to read it |
|---|---|
| Total visitors | All visits counted for that step in the selected time range. |
| Unique visitors | Distinct visitors for that step in the same range. |
| Conversion rate | How strongly visitors move forward in the funnel (shown as a percentage). Compare it step by step to find the biggest drop-offs. |
| Bounce rate | Share of sessions that left without meaningful forward progress (shown as a percentage). High bounce on a key step usually deserves a content or speed review. |
When your account captures leads on a step, you may also see Form submission or Quiz submission counts for that page. Those numbers should line up with what you see under Leads for the same period.

Each step has a link icon that opens the published page in a new browser tab (https with your domain and page path). Use it to verify the on-page experience matches what the metrics suggest.
How to use the metrics
- Start at the first step and confirm traffic looks reasonable for your sources.
- Walk downstream and watch conversion rate—the first large decline is often the best place to experiment.
- Pair bounce rate with qualitative checks (message match, mobile layout, load speed).
- Cross-check form and quiz counts with your Leads lists.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my ad platform show different conversion?
Ad platforms use their own attribution models and may count clicks or view-through conversions. Atomicat step metrics are page-centric inside your funnel. Some difference is normal.
Is “average time on page” available?
The analytics service may track dwell time, but average time on page is not always shown in the current funnel analytics layout. Use your ad pixel or another analytics tool if dwell time is critical.
