Behavior
The Behavior tab shows what visitors actually do inside your pages. It has three views: Clicks, Scroll, and Attention.
Clicksβ
- Total clicks β all important clicks captured in the period.
- Visitors who clicked β unique visitors with at least one click.
- Friction clicks β dead clicks and rage clicks combined (see below).
- Top clicked elements β a ranking of your buttons and links by interaction, with per-version breakdowns and friction counts.
What are friction clicks?β
- Dead click β the visitor clicked something that looks clickable but nothing happened.
- Rage click β the visitor clicked the same spot repeatedly in frustration.
High friction on an element usually means a broken link, a slow response, or a design that looks interactive but isn't. Fix these first β they are the cheapest conversion wins.
Scrollβ
Shows how far down the page visitors get, so you can see where they stop reading. If most visitors never reach your CTA, move it up or shorten the content above it.
Attentionβ
Shows which elements hold visitor attention the longest. Use it to check whether your key message and offer actually get seen.
From insight to actionβ
- Find high-friction or ignored elements here.
- Open Heatmaps to see the same signals overlaid on the rendered page.
- Change the page, republish, and compare periods β or run an A/B test to validate the fix.
Frequently asked questionsβ
Which clicks are tracked?
Meaningful interactions β buttons, links, and interactive elements on published pages. Random clicks on empty areas are captured as dead clicks when the element looks interactive.
What does 'version' mean in the elements table?
Each time you publish a page, a new version is recorded. The table can attribute clicks to the exact published version, so redesigns don't mix data.
