How to Create a Quiz from a Template

Quiz templates are pre-built quizzes from Atomicat’s gallery (and global templates when your account has access). They help you launch faster with proven layouts and copy you adapt to your offer.

Use this guide when you want a structured starting point instead of a blank quiz.

Before You Start

Make sure you have:

  • Access to AtomicQuiz and Browse Templates on your plan.
  • A site selected for the campaign (verify after creation if multiple sites exist).
  • Your offer copy, images, tracking IDs, and result URLs ready to replace placeholders.
  • Time to review Flow β€” templates ship with branching you must validate for your funnel.

See Quiz templates (reference).

  1. Open AtomicQuiz from the sidebar.
  2. Click Browse Templates.
  3. Wait for the full-screen gallery to load (a short loading state is normal).

The gallery includes:

  • A category sidebar (including All templates and template folders).
  • A count of templates per category.
  • A grid of cards with thumbnails and preview actions.

Step 2: Find the Right Template

  1. Browse categories or stay on All templates.
  2. Click a template card to preview details.
  3. Review step previews when available β€” confirm the structure matches your campaign (question count, result style, form placement).

Pick templates aligned with your goal: lead qualification, product recommendation, symptom checker, etc.

Step 3: Create the Quiz from the Template

  1. In the preview, click Use template (wording may match your language pack).
  2. Wait while Atomicat creates the quiz document and opens the editor.
  3. Confirm the quiz opened without errors.

If a template is locked, your plan or template access may require an upgrade β€” follow the in-product message.

Step 4: Rename and Organize

  1. Open Settings β†’ General (or quiz settings in the header).
  2. Rename the quiz so your AtomicQuiz list stays clear (templates often use generic names).
  3. Confirm the quiz is attached to the correct site before publishing β€” change in list or publish dialog if needed.

Step 5: Customize Content

Walk every step in Builder:

ReplaceWhy
Headlines and body copyTemplate text is placeholder β€” use your brand voice and offer.
Images and logosSwap stock media for campaign assets.
Buttons and CTAsMatch your funnel next step (result page, checkout, form).
Tracking / pixelsAdd campaign IDs in settings or page-level tracking where used.

Use Preview after major copy changes.

Step 6: Review Flow and Branching

  1. Open Flow in the quiz header.
  2. Confirm every path ends at the correct result or next step.
  3. Adjust links from buttons, text, or images that support go to step actions.
  4. Fix any dead ends before publish.

Templates assume a generic journey β€” your offer may need different branches.

See How to set quiz flow and branching logic.

Step 7: Save and Publish

  1. Save the quiz.
  2. When ready, Publish to your site URL. See How to publish a quiz.
  3. Test the live HTTPS link before sending paid traffic.

Best Practices

  • Treat templates as 80% structure, 20% your copy β€” never publish with default placeholder text.
  • Review webhooks and Leads settings if the template includes capture steps.
  • Duplicate the quiz before risky experiments so you keep a clean baseline copy.

Troubleshooting

ProblemWhat to try

Outcome

You started from a gallery template and now have a customized quiz in your workspace β€” ready to publish on your site with your copy, flow, and tracking in place.
