Page delay
The Delay tab in Page settings controls when delayed sections and hidden content become visible after load. It is commonly used for video sales letter (VSL) style flows.
Settings
| Setting | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Delay time | Time after page load (or relative to video when synced) before delayed content appears. Format HH:MM:SS (for example 00:01:56 for one minute fifty-six seconds). |
| Scroll to an element or section after page delay | After the delay, scroll the visitor to an element or section ID you provide. |
| Sync with video | When available for the page, ties delay behavior to a selected video element instead of only the clock. Requires a valid delay time in HH:MM:SS. |
The in-product tooltips explain whether the delay applies from page load or from video timing, depending on whether a video is available and sync is enabled.
Validation rules
- Delay time must match the
HH:MM:SSpattern the product validates. - If Sync with video is on, a delay time is required.
- If Scroll to an element or section is on, a delay time is required and you must provide the target element or section ID.
Practical tips
- Use a single clear delay per page unless your template already defines layered delays on sections.
- For scroll targets, use the same ID you set on the destination section or element in the builder.
- Test on mobile; delayed reveals and scroll can feel different on small screens.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I set which video to sync with?
When Sync with video is available, the Delay UI lets you select the video used for synchronization.
Does delay affect published HTML only?
Delay is stored in page settings and affects how the published page behaves. Always save Page settings and the page after changes.
