Undo and redo help you move backward or forward through recent Page Builder edits.

Use them when you accidentally change layout, style, content, or element order and want to quickly return to a previous state.

Where to find undo and redo​

Undo and redo controls are located in the builder header.

The controls become active when the builder has recent editing states available.

How undo works​

Undo restores a previous editing state from the builder history.

Use undo after changes such as:

  • Moving an element.
  • Editing text.
  • Changing styles.
  • Reordering containers.
  • Removing or replacing page content.

If the selected item is a container or a special page-level item, the builder may switch the drawer context so the restored state can be shown correctly.

How redo works​

Redo reapplies a change that was previously undone.

Use redo when you undo too far or decide to keep a change after reviewing the previous state.

History limit​

The builder keeps a limited undo history. Recent app behavior stores up to 50 history states for the current editing session.

Because history is session-based and limited, do not rely on undo as a long-term backup. Use Save and revisions where available for more durable recovery.

Save after restoring a state​

Undo and redo change the current editing state in the builder. To keep the restored version, click Save after you reach the state you want.

If you undo a major change but leave without saving, the saved page may not match what you see in the builder.

  • Use undo immediately after an accidental edit.
  • Save after restoring the correct version.
  • Use revisions for larger recovery needs when available.
  • Avoid making many unrelated edits before confirming the layout still looks correct.
