Product variants
Variants answer the shopper question: “Which flavor, color, or size am I buying?”
Default behavior
Most simple products work well without a visible variant selector. That is enough for offers without flavor, color, size, or SKU choices.
How published products use variants
When multiple variants are available for a product, the published layout can let shoppers choose an option and see the matching naming or imagery.
When to contact support
If you need a variant setup that is not visible in your product editor, contact support before launching. Most teams:
- Ship single-variant products through the UI, or
- Use quantity tiers when the real choice is pack size or quantity.
If a product card shows multiple variants but you are unsure how the offer is configured, preview it before publishing.
When you still need multiple variants
If your offer already includes multiple variants, validate them in Preview before publishing.

Frequently asked questions
Are variants the same as quantity tiers?
Variants usually mean different SKUs or flavors. Tiers mean different pack sizes or quantities with their own pricing table. You can use tiers alone when that matches your offer.
Will the multi-variant editor return?
Check release notes or contact support if you need broader variant editing options.
